Our Objective
in K9s in Service, we match task-trained K9s that have undergone extensive training with veterans who would benefit from their skills at no cost to the veteran.
We aim to place highly trained dogs with the veteran they can assist most.
Our dogs are affectionately donated to this cause, sometimes as shelter dogs. These instances often result in heartwarming stories that reflect hope and second chances for both the dogs and their new owners. By connecting these dogs with disabled veterans, it paves the way for improved, more enriched, and independent lives for all involved.
Our veteran heroes deserve more than just survival; they deserve to thrive in their lives after service. K9s in Service offers a significant opportunity to achieve exactly that.

Donations, volunteering, or simply spreading the word, can make a monumental difference in the lives of veterans and these incredible dogs.
As you can imagine, the demand for these extraordinary animals far exceeds the supply. Training a working dog for a vet is not only time-intensive but also requires a significant financial investment.

We train canine companions extensively. they undergo hundreds of hours of exposure, task training & desensitization in order to adequatly service a vet.
